The Auctioneers Society of Certified Appraisers is an organization providing certification of personal property appraisers. The ASCA has been instrumental in helping to standardize the personal property appraisal profession.

What you’ll learn:

Factors affecting value, trends, functions of appraisal, identification, valuation, methodology, responsibility to client, legal aspects, research methods, standardized formats and record maintenance. Attendees will learn to customize a standardized appraisal format and how to start their appraisal business. You will learn standards that are accepted in the real world, such as USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice) and by which an appraiser is judged, along with the appraisal requirements of government agencies, courts, banks, estates, etc.

Additional topics to include:

Focusing on fakes & reproductions, identification, research, documentation for appraisals of farm machinery, heavy equipment, autos, estates, antiques, collectibles, furniture, art, jewelry, rugs, books, china, coins, glass and more. You will learn from the best and benefit from hands-on contact with your instructors who are recognized professionals in the appraisal field. Our course can help you build a rewarding appraisal business regardless what your personal property specialty field might be.
